About HallRail
HallRail was established in 1948 as Hall & Blenkinsop by the late John Reginald Hall and his then business partner. His son Reginald Raine Hall became the sole owner of the business in 1996 following a buy out of his business partner.
The company then became H&B Rail as it had expanded its rail manufacturing capabilities after many years of servicing the railways of the mining industry. In 2005 the company was re-named and re-branded to become HallRail.
HallRail are specialists in switch and crossing manufacturing, along with the manufacture of fabricated items commonly used in the rail industry. HallRail is a supplier to both the United Kingdom and International markets. The company has a very experienced technical support team, that will provide both pre and post installation assistance in any geographical location.
The ability of the company to cope with all types of bespoke work has been beneficial in placing us in the forefront of the market place, this gives us the skills to react quickly to our clients needs in an ever-changing world.
The core clients of the business in the earlier years were from marine, mining, rail, materials handling, construction and defence related industries. Traditionally a steel fabrication and machining company we have extensive expertise of working with the majority of commonly used carbon and stainless steels.
HallRail is conveniently situated close to the A1M motorway, off junction 62, between Durham City and Sunderland.
Durham railway station on the East Coast main line is 7 miles from the office.
Both Newcastle and Durham Tees Valley International Airports are within a 20 mile radius as are the local ports of Teeside and Tyneside.
